Olivia Wilde Shares First Look At Florence Pugh And Harry Styles In Don’t Worry Darling Teaser

by James White | Though we're going to have to wait a whole year to see Olivia Wilde 's much-anticipated directorial follow-up to Booksmart , the good news is that a teaser for Don't Worry Darling is now online. Check out Florence Pugh and Harry Styles in this brief glimpse...Written by Booksmart's Katie Silberman, working from a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke, Don't Worry Darling is described as a psychological thriller which is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert, with Pugh as a housewife whose reality begins to crack, revealing a disturbing truth underneath.

"Interstellar." For a cornfield scene, Christopher Nolan sought to grow five hundred acres of corn, which he learned was feasible from his producing of Man of Steel (2013). The corn was then sold, and actually made a profit.

Wilde is clearly looking to maintain some of the mystery here, which is A Good Thing, though there's plenty to be intrigued about, including Pugh wrapping herself in cling film, a make-out sesh with Styles and some synchronized swimming. Oh, and what sounds like Pugh warbling on the soundtrack. The cast also includes Chris Pine , Gemma Chan , KiKi Layne , Nick Kroll and Timothy Simons .

"The Phantom Of The Opera." The doll in the Phantom's lair that is supposed to resemble Emmy Rossum is not actually a wax mold. It is Emmy Rossum. The production produced a mask of her face to use on the mannequin but when they put in the fake eyes it didn't look like her. She suggested to stand in as the mannequin instead. This was done by her being made up like a doll with waxy makeup on, and her standing very, very still.

Don't Worry Darling will be out – in Stateside cinemas at least, we've yet to see an official date for the UK – on 23 September next year.
